We are currently seeking a Journeyman Administrative Professional to support the Air Force Research Laboratory Technology Transition Office (AFRL/RR). This role is critical in coordinating and planning various events, workshops, and meetings central to AFRL's mission to transition innovative technologies efficiently. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in event and workshop planning within military or government settings, particularly in supporting technology and innovation-focused initiatives. This position involves working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
As a Journeyman Administrative Professional at DEFTEC, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating logistics for group meetings, conventions, and workshops, ensuring seamless planning and execution that aligns with AFRL/RR standards and objectives. You will be responsible for developing engagement documents designed to attract industry partners and other stakeholders, scheduling briefings, and managing the timely flow of information and event materials. Acting as the primary AFRL/RR liaison during planning meetings, you will coordinate across various organizations to guarantee a well-structured and successful event process.
Additionally, you will be tasked with editing briefing materials, coordinating their submission to the AFRL Public Affairs Office, and devising effective feedback collection methods from subject matter experts (SMEs) and industry participants. This role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The position requires an active Secret Security Clearance, with a preference for candidates holding an active Top Secret clearance or previous AFRL/RR experience.
DEFTEC offers a comprehensive whole life benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; holiday and paid time off; life insurance; short and long-term disability coverage; educational reimbursement; and a competitive 401k matching program. We are committed to supporting the well-being and professional development of our employees, fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace where all team members can thrive.
