With a solid reputation in the experiential marketing industry, Norland Group specializes in creating impactful events that resonate with both internal teams and external audiences. The company thrives on creativity, collaboration, and strategic execution to drive meaningful engagement that aligns with its overarching corporate goals and vision. As a leader in the event management sector, Norland Group operates within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, prioritizing excellence and operational efficiency in every project it undertakes.
The Events Specialist role at Norland Group is a pivotal position dedicated to the planning, execution, management, and delivery of a broad spectrum of experiential and employee events. This includes internal and external events, as well as virtual, physical, or hybrid formats designed to enhance corporate culture and brand presence. The role entails working closely with external agencies, marketing, product teams, and internal support staff to ensure that every event reflects the company's strategic objectives and vision across North America.
Candidates for this role must possess the ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within diverse teams. The position demands strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset to navigate the complexities of handling multiple assignments under pressure and ambiguity. Clear and effective communication is essential, as the Events Specialist will coordinate with multiple stakeholders across different geographical locations and time zones.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be instrumental in managing all facets of event coordination. Responsibilities include internal consulting, negotiating with vendors, administering contracts, logistical planning, monitoring event budgets and expenses, producing post-event reports, handling invoicing, and ensuring financial reconciliation. Meticulous record-keeping and maintaining a comprehensive plan of record for each event are also critical components of the job.
This position covers a wide range of events, including company-wide gatherings such as picnics, holiday celebrations, and employee engagement initiatives. The specialist will also collaborate closely with business unit teams to develop and implement plans, goals, and materials for industry-specific events, research and development exhibitions, and trade shows. Partnering with the communications and brand teams will be crucial to developing creative concepts, content, and promotional materials that elevate event experiences.
Evaluating the success of events through post-event analysis, debriefs, and detailed wrap-up reports is another key aspect of the role. The events specialist is encouraged to propose innovative and forward-thinking concepts that align with current and emerging trends within both virtual and live event spaces. The company values fresh perspectives that can enhance the overall impact and reach of its events.
Working at Norland Group means contributing to a diverse and inclusive workplace where minorities, women, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. The company maintains a drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment substance abuse testing and comprehensive background checks to ensure a safe and professional working environment. Effective immediately, interested candidates are invited to submit their resumes as Word Documents with detailed employment timelines to the specified recruitment contact. The role is ideal for experienced event management professionals eager to play a crucial role in shaping the experiential landscape for a forward-looking organization.
