Job Description
Bloomingdale's is a renowned American luxury department store that offers an extensive array of high-end fashion, accessories, and lifestyle products. Known for its dedication to making fashion personal, fun, and approachable, Bloomingdale's has cultivated a mission to inspire and guide customers in their style journeys. Their brand is celebrated for being aspirational yet accessible and for delivering exceptional shopping experiences both online through Bloomingdales.com and in physical stores, including their innovative small store concept, Bloomie's. The company prides itself on an inclusive culture that embraces diversity in background, thought, and opinion, fostering an environment where all employees can share their ideas openly. This inclusive and dynamic culture empowers colleagues to contribute meaningfully while collaborating and having fun.
The Events Specialist at Bloomingdale’s plays a pivotal role in supporting the company's event-driven strategy, an essential component of Bloomingdale's community and marketing efforts. Events and activations act as the heartbeat of the company, generating significant momentum and demand across internal store formats as well as external clients and vendors. Reporting to the Director of Special Events, this position is responsible for executing business administration tasks that underpin the planning and delivery of impactful events and activations centrally. These initiatives then cascade through the store organization to enrich customer experiences at flagship, hub, and community stores.
This role will involve creating and managing vendor event pitch decks, coordinating event marketing support activities such as scheduling, brief template creation, and cross-department collaboration. The Events Specialist will organize and maintain comprehensive event calendars and master lists to keep key stakeholders aligned. They will also generate internal communication templates, handle event invitation distribution, compile recap reports, and maintain a robust photo library and best practice documentation. Additionally, they will support sales tracking for major national events, manage budget reconciliation and return on investment (ROI) reports, assist with MAS vendor setup alongside the business office, and oversee Eventbrite page management and FedEx sign template administration.
Working in a hybrid model that requires both in-office and in-store presence, this role demands flexibility to adapt to the event calendar and company needs. The position also includes occasional physical activity including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting items up to 25lbs during event execution. The Events Specialist at Bloomingdale's will be an organized, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and leadership skills capable of collaborating across functional teams.
