Job Description

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is a historic and iconic sports and entertainment venue located in Los Angeles, California. Established in 1923, this stadium is best known as the long-standing home of the USC Trojans football team. Over the years, the Coliseum has hosted numerous landmark events including concerts, international soccer matches, food festivals, and a wide range of other public and private gatherings. Following a comprehensive $315 million renovation, the Coliseum represents a modern world-class facility blending rich history with state-of-the-art amenities to provide exceptional event experiences. Known as "The Greatest Stadium in the World," it continuously strives to meet and exceed expectations for both patrons and staff alike.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of the operational backbone that supports the diverse events held at the Coliseum. As a Resource Employee, the successful candidate will engage in essential event operations support, carrying out technical and logistical tasks vital for smooth event delivery. This hourly, non-exempt position requires dedication to managing day-to-day operations such as distributing and tracking event equipment and uniforms, assisting with staff check-in and wristband issuance, and maintaining clear communication via two-way radios during events. The candidate will be a critical part of an energetic team, contributing to a positive environment that prioritizes customer service and efficient event management. Employees must adhere to university-wide employment policies, including a maximum of 1,000 working hours within a rolling 12-month period.

The position demands a high level of organizational skill, technical aptitude, and adaptability to the dynamic needs of different events. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy for equipment like microphones, headsets, ticket scanners, radios, and wands, as well as completing detailed post-event reports tracking equipment status. Flexibility is key, as team members may be required to support a variety of tasks before, during, and after events to ensure seamless operations. The job also offers a gateway to gaining valuable experience within the events and entertainment industry at one of the most celebrated stadiums in the United States. The hourly wage for this position is $17.87, with considerations for experience, skills, and market factors influencing final offers. Candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to USC's unifying values and who can effectively communicate and collaborate within a fast-paced team environment will thrive in this role.
