As a vibrant hub of entertainment and hospitality, the Alaska Airlines Center offers visitors a unique experience that combines state-of-the-art facilities with exceptional food and beverage services. The venue prides itself on maintaining high standards of customer service and quality, ensuring each guest enjoys their visit to the fullest. The Center features several dining options that cater to diverse tastes, providing both casual and upscale dining environments within its walls. Guests can expect a welcoming atmosphere, efficient service, and a menu that highlights both local and classic favorites. The Alaska Airlines Center continuously seeks talented, customer-focused individuals to join its team and contribute to its reputation for excellence in hospitality.
The Server position at the Alaska Airlines Center plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional food and beverage services within its restaurant setting. This position requires a friendly and attentive professional dedicated to creating positive dining experiences for guests. As a server, the individual will be responsible for greeting guests promptly, presenting menus, answering questions about the food and beverages, and making recommendations to enhance the guests' dining experience. The role also involves accurate order taking and entry into the Point of Sale (POS) Micros system, communicating orders efficiently to the kitchen staff and service bars, and serving food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages such as wine and beer, while adhering strictly to state regulatory requirements like TAPS ID verification. Observing diners to meet additional requests and ensuring the timely and polite clearing of tables is a key aspect of maintaining smooth and professional service. Additionally, servers will help maintain food stations by ensuring they are fully stocked and clean, assist with the breakdown of service stations, and support overall restaurant operations without supervisory responsibilities. This role may be part-time or on-call, offering flexibility while demanding a high level of customer service skills and teamwork. Working in an environmentally controlled, indoor industrial kitchen setting, servers must be physically capable of standing, walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, and performing various manual tasks throughout their shifts. The Alaska Airlines Center values attributes such as safety, honesty, integrity, respect, and environmental sustainability, all of which are integral to the employee’s role and conduct within the venue. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, eager to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, and committed to delivering memorable service experiences at one of Anchorage’s key entertainment destinations.
