Job Description
The Quoin Hotel & Restaurant is a distinguished boutique hotel and dining establishment located in Wilmington, Delaware. Established in 2022, it is housed within the beautifully preserved Security Trust & Safe Company Building, a Victorian brownstone designed by the renowned architect Frank Furness in 1885. This establishment offers a unique blend of historical charm and modern luxury, featuring 24 elegantly appointed rooms along with multiple dining venues. The Quoin holds a Michelin Key, reflecting its commitment to providing an exceptional culinary and hospitality experience. The property is designed as a cohesive collection of food and beverage outlets, each with its distinct personality and atmosphere, yet unified under the hotel’s brand identity which emphasizes sophistication paired with approachability and warmth.
The Quoin Restaurant provides guests with a lively yet refined setting to enjoy handcrafted wood-fired dishes complemented by a carefully curated wine program. Guests can dine indoors or on the outdoor patio, enjoying meals from lunch through dinner. Simmer Down, the hotel's intimate speakeasy-style lounge set inside a historic bank vault, offers bespoke cocktails and a moody late-night ambiance that invites socializing in a relaxed atmosphere. For those seeking panoramic views and a vibrant social scene, The Quoin Rooftop Bar & Lounge delivers chic cocktail service and tapas-style bites. This rooftop venue is a polished yet energetic space ideal for both casual and special outings. Additionally, The Quoin offers Private Dining & Events services, ranging from corporate gatherings to weddings and exclusive buyouts, tailored with meticulous attention to detail and customized menus to fit each client’s vision.
The role being offered is a dynamic and integral position responsible for driving food and beverage sales specifically targeting private and semi-private event bookings. This position is perfect for a hospitality professional skilled in client relations, event coordination, and sales management, who thrives in a high-end boutique hotel environment. The successful candidate will be tasked with achieving annual sales quotas, fostering new and existing client relationships, and managing event logistics from initial inquiry through successful execution. Responsibilities also include conducting venue tours, designing event menus and floor plans, managing event orders and payments, and collaborating closely with the culinary and service teams to ensure seamless event delivery. Experience with multiple reservation and sales management platforms such as Tripleseat, Toast POS, and Resy POS is highly valued.
This employment opportunity typically offers a competitive base salary supplemented by sales incentives, comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, employee discounts, and a supportive work environment. Candidates looking to join a boutique, high-touch hospitality setting with opportunities for professional growth and creative event coordination will find this role both rewarding and challenging. The Quoin’s commitment to delivering luxury hospitality with a welcoming spirit makes it an exceptional place to work and advance one’s career in hotel and restaurant event sales and management.
