The Events Marketing Specialist role at Astound is crucial to the company’s branding and outreach strategy. This position is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of major sponsorships and events designed to create brand awareness and goodwill while effectively showcasing all Astound products and services. The specialist will lead negotiations for large-scale events with major for-profit and non-profit organizations and manage the full scope of these events from initial investigation to final execution.

Key responsibilities include negotiating, planning, and executing sponsorship and branding events within the Astound footprint, investigating and recommending new events and sponsorship opportunities, and coordinating with market leaders on sales and community engagement events. This role also involves responding to unsolicited event requests, managing vendors and brand ambassadors, organizing and delivering event materials such as signage and booths, and coordinating run-of-show details to ensure flawless execution.

Additional duties include assisting with promotional copywriting for TV, radio, and digital platforms, managing reciprocal media opportunities, leading social outreach and promotional campaigns, tracking budgets, processing invoices, and preparing post-event reports. The Events Marketing Specialist also manages relationships with program managers to explore new event opportunities and participates in cross-channel marketing initiatives.

This role requires flexibility with up to 40% travel necessary and weekend availability to accommodate event schedules. The specialist works within a dynamic team environment, fostering collaboration across multiple departments and external partners to maximize impact.

The base salary range for this position in Texas is $55,000 to $83,000 annually, supplemented with bonus opportunities and a broad benefits package. Astound values people with strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, proficiency in MS Office, and experience managing budgets and expenses. Candidates with a background in cable, telecom, or the mobile industry are highly preferred to align with the company’s technical focus and market position.
