With a worldwide presence, DLA Piper offers diverse legal services to clients across multiple industries and markets. The firm prides itself on its people, who are considered the backbone, heart, and soul of the organization. Whether you are beginning your professional journey or advancing your career, DLA Piper provides an environment conducive to meaningful work, growth, and development. The firm promotes inclusivity, diversity, and values its employees' contributions in creating innovative legal solutions and maintaining high standards of service excellence.
The Events Manager - Global role at DLA Piper is a pivotal position that supports the strategic events and initiatives across the US, Canada, Latin America, and other global regions. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive event management services, including pre-event planning, on-site coordination, and post-event evaluation, to ensure seamless execution and alignment with the firm’s reputation as a world-class service provider. The Events Manager collaborates closely with stakeholders to develop strategic leadership over all event types, providing 'white glove service' to attorneys, professional staff, clients, and business partners. This position requires adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to work across various time zones and countries, sometimes requiring domestic and international travel.
The role offers a hybrid work schedule based in either the New York or Miami office, requiring 2 to 3 days per week in-office presence, making it ideal for professionals who seek a flexible work environment without compromising collaboration and engagement with teams and clients. The firm offers a competitive salary range of $100,787 to $153,578 annually, depending on geographic market location, candidate experience, skills, educational background, and overall qualifications. Employees of DLA Piper enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
As an Events Manager at DLA Piper, you will be entrusted with overseeing all operational aspects of event execution, from venue selection and budgeting to vendor negotiation and invitation management. You will leverage tools like the CVENT platform to design invitations, manage registrations, build microsites, and gather attendee data to enhance future event outcomes. Additionally, you will coordinate closely with communications and design teams to ensure compelling and professional event invitations, and maintain active communication with all event attendees.
The position requires excellent project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, negotiating skills to ensure budget adherence, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with vendors and stakeholders. Staying current on industry trends and adopting innovative event technologies will be critical to success in this role. As part of DLA Piper’s culture, you will be part of a team dedicated to excellence, client service, and continuous personal development, while embracing the firm’s values and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
This role also emphasizes the importance of flexible working hours to accommodate event demands and travel, as well as maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor in high-stress situations. If you are a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across diverse teams globally, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile global events and elevate the firm’s brand and client engagement on an international stage.
