Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel event management or related role
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent events efficiently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with event management software and hotel property management systems
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in hotel event management, convention services, or banquet operations
  • Experience coordinating corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, or social events
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience creating and managing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
  • Experience working in a full-service or convention hotel environment
  • Familiarity with event management software or hotel PMS systems
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and audiovisual coordination

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients after the sales process is complete
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of meetings, conventions, and special events
  • Conduct pre-convention meetings to review event details, timelines, and service expectations
  • Create and distribute detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for internal departments
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure event expectations are met or exceeded
  • Oversee on-site event execution including meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events
  • Coordinate with banquet, culinary, audiovisual, housekeeping, and front office teams
  • Monitor room setups, event flow, and service delivery during programs
  • Address client requests and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Work closely with the Sales, Banquets, Culinary, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Conduct site inspections and event walkthroughs with clients
  • Ensure accurate documentation and communication of all event requirements
  • Supervise event setups and breakdowns to ensure adherence to hotel standards
  • Assist with reviewing event contracts, budgets, and final billing
  • Track event revenue and support profitability goals
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and post-event billing reconciliation
  • Maintain event documentation within the hotel's event management system
