Sheraton's mission to be 'The World’s Gathering Place' highlights its dedication to connecting people, delivering meaningful events, and supporting a global team of passionate hospitality professionals.

The Event Manager role at Sheraton in Overland Park, Kansas, is a full-time management position offering an annual salary ranging between $56,000 and $72,000, along with eligibility for bonuses. This role is integral to ensuring that property events run smoothly and effectively through meticulous planning and coordination. The Event Manager will prepare comprehensive event documentation and act as a critical liaison between the sales team, property departments, and customers to guarantee a seamless experience across pre-event, event, and post-event stages. This position primarily handles events of average complexity and requires managing group logistics such as room blocks and meeting spaces for medium to large-sized groups.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maximizing revenue opportunities by up-selling and suggesting enhancements to elevate event quality. This involves close collaboration with the property staff to identify operational challenges and develop innovative solutions, integrating current trends in event management and design to offer outstanding customer experiences. The Event Manager will be responsible for maintaining billing accuracy, conducting bill reviews with clients, and ensuring that all event standards, policies, and procedures are strictly followed.

A customer-focused approach is essential, with the Event Manager delivering and promoting excellent customer service throughout the event lifecycle. The role demands strong leadership skills to guide event management teams, conduct pre- and post-event meetings, and communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams. Supporting sales and marketing functions by assisting in revenue forecasting and sales processes is part of the responsibilities, along with managing human resources activities such as reviewing guest satisfaction feedback and providing employee performance support.

Working with Sheraton provides a unique opportunity to belong to a supportive global community that values teamwork, continuous improvement, and guest satisfaction. If you are an energetic, detail-oriented professional with a passion for event management and a desire to contribute to a renowned hospitality brand, this role offers the chance to grow your career while making a significant impact on the guest experience at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts.
