Job Description
Atlas Free is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending sex trafficking and exploitation worldwide. With operations spanning over 65 countries and collaboration with more than 140 Network Members, Atlas Free mobilizes a global movement to dismantle human trafficking through strategic partnerships, frontline solutions, and impactful initiatives. The organization’s faith-based values and commitment to equality underpin its mission, focusing on restoring hope and dignity to millions affected by exploitation. Atlas Free is driven by integrity, strategic leadership, and a servant mindset, with a deep conviction rooted in Christian faith that inspires and guides its work.
The Events Manager role at Atlas Free is a full-time, hybrid position based in Kirkland, WA, requiring up to 25% travel. Reporting directly to the Development Director, this role is vital for advancing the organization's mission through the strategic planning and flawless execution of events. The events managed range from intimate strategy sessions to large-scale galas with 500 or more attendees. These gatherings are more than just social occasions; they represent powerful opportunities to engage supporters, drive revenue, and create lasting impact in the fight against sex trafficking. This position comes with an anticipated salary range of $67,000 to $73,000 annually, reflecting industry standards, candidate qualifications, and organizational budgets.
As the Events Manager, you will oversee every aspect of the event lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting to vendor coordination, volunteer management, and on-site execution. Your responsibilities include creating detailed timelines, managing expenses with precision, negotiating vendor contracts, and utilizing various event technology platforms like Classy Events, Classy Live, and Greater Giving. You will also be a key player in building systems, templates, and processes that ensure repeatable excellence across all supporter-led events at Atlas Free.
This role demands someone who takes ownership and drives measurable results, not just managing events but owning outcomes. Success is defined by the flawless execution of events, transparent accountability for every detail, and consistently meeting or exceeding targets for attendance, engagement, and revenue. Follow-up with attendees is critical, with a strategic focus on donor progression and stewardship to foster long-term partnerships.
Part of your role includes designing and implementing communication plans for each event—from invitations to personalized follow-ups and impact messaging. You will work closely with the Development Director to tailor engagement strategies and execute a comprehensive thank-you system, incorporating handwritten notes, calls, and leadership outreach to ensure no donor is overlooked.
Additionally, managing event-related data in collaboration with the Marketing and CRM teams will be essential. You'll analyze event performance metrics, donor engagement, acknowledgment timeliness, revenue trends, and retention rates, continuously refining systems to improve efficiency and enhance the donor experience.
The ideal candidate thrives in a detail-oriented environment, demonstrating exceptional organization, calm under pressure, and strong communication skills. With more than four years of experience in event management or production, you have a proven track record in budget management, vendor negotiations, and cross-functional team coordination. Familiarity with event and fundraising platforms is expected, alongside a degree in Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, preferably. Importantly, you share Atlas Free’s faith-driven mission, embodying the core values of trustworthiness, integrity, servant leadership, and a Jesus-centric approach that prioritizes mission-focused work.
Joining Atlas Free means contributing to a cause bigger than any individual event or initiative. Your efforts directly advance the global fight against human trafficking, empowering a network of advocates and survivors alike. Atlas Free offers a supportive work environment with a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, HSA with employer contribution, a 403b retirement plan with employer match, generous paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave, along with innovative fringe benefits designed to nurture and inspire its team members. This role is an exceptional opportunity to apply your event expertise in a meaningful way that aligns with your values and professional aspirations.
