This position is for a full-time Event Planner based at the Westin located at 10 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA. The job falls under the management category with a salary range of $71,000 to $91,000 per year and includes eligibility for bonuses. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating all phases of property events, primarily handling events of average complexity. Your role involves close collaboration with sales, property departments, and customers to guarantee a seamless transition from sales to service and back. The position requires preparing event documentation, managing logistics, and ensuring that billing accuracy is maintained. As a liaison between the sales team and the customer, you will maintain strong communication throughout the event lifecycle—from pre-event planning through post-event follow-up. Additionally, you will participate in customer site inspections, assist with the sales process, and continuously seek feedback to enhance the event planning experience. Exceptional customer service is vital in this role; you will be expected to deliver and promote a high level of service among employees and set a positive example in guest relations.

The position also requires leadership skills to conduct pre- and post-event meetings and coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to support event sales and forecasting. Human resource responsibilities include reviewing guest feedback, coaching employees on service behaviors, implementing corrective action plans, and collaborating with property staff to overcome challenges. The ability to proactively improve service performance is essential to this role.
