Sheraton proudly promotes a culture valuing diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion where associates are encouraged to grow professionally and personally in a collaborative environment. Dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences, Sheraton maintains high standards of service and hospitality that continue to set it apart in a competitive market.

The role of the Event Planner at Sheraton Hotels and Resorts is vital in creating seamless and memorable events, ensuring that all customer requirements and expectations are consistently met from the initial stages through to the completion of the event. This position predominantly handles events of average complexity, ensuring smooth transitions between sales and service departments while maximizing revenue opportunities by identifying ways to up-sell and enhance event offerings.

This position demands a proactive approach towards customer engagement, requiring constant communication and presence during the event process to ensure customer satisfaction. You will act as a liaison between the customer and different property departments, manage logistical challenges, oversee group room blocks, and ensure billing accuracy. The role also includes conducting pre- and post-event meetings, assisting with site inspections, and integrating trends in event management and design to elevate the event experience. Furthermore, as part of your duties, you will empower team members to deliver excellent customer service, handle guest inquiries and complaints, and continuously seek feedback for operational improvements.

Sheraton Hotels and Resorts places a strong emphasis on leadership and teamwork. As an Event Planner, you will lead event management teams during meetings and collaborate effortlessly with sales and marketing functions to forecast revenue and promote services. Human resource activities related to staff performance feedback and corrective action plans also form part of your responsibilities. Sheraton values its associates and fosters an environment that nurtures personal development and career advancement while emphasizing the importance of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

By joining Sheraton, you join a global team under Marriott International’s umbrella, which is dedicated to welcoming all associates and providing equal opportunities regardless of background. Marriott International embraces non-discrimination and actively supports laws protecting individuals from discrimination based on disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. Qualified applicants with criminal histories are also considered consistent with legal requirements. Sheraton’s mission is to be "The World's Gathering Place," offering a meaningful and rewarding career where you can belong, grow, and become the best version of yourself while contributing to unforgettable experiences for guests worldwide.
