Job Description

Aurelian is a cutting-edge technology company that specializes in developing advanced artificial intelligence tools designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of 911 centers across the United States. Founded with a mission to transform emergency response systems, Aurelian creates AI-powered solutions that empower telecommunicators to manage calls more efficiently, allowing them to focus their attention on critical emergencies rather than administrative or non-urgent matters. The company is backed by leading venture capital firms, including New Enterprise Associates and Y Combinator, and is rapidly expanding its presence nationwide. Aurelian's innovative platforms are already active in multiple emergency communication centers, processing thousands of non-emergency calls daily with the goal of improving public safety infrastructure.

Aurelian’s flagship tools include AVA and CORA, two highly sophisticated AI agents designed to handle different aspects of emergency call management. AVA functions as a conversational AI agent that autonomously answers non-emergency calls, such as noise complaints, lost pets, and parking inquiries. By managing these calls without human intervention, AVA significantly reduces hold times and unburdens call takers, allowing them to concentrate on genuine emergencies. CORA complements AVA by serving as an on-screen assistant for telecommunicators during emergency calls. It provides real-time standard operating procedure (SOP) checklists, smart reminders, and contextual support, helping dispatchers maintain accuracy, calmness, and confidence during high-stakes situations. When AVA recognizes an emergency within a non-emergency call, it seamlessly transfers the caller to a telecommunicator along with all critical information, ensuring no time is lost and no details are missed.

The role offered by Aurelian is a full-time Events Manager position, focused on orchestrating and executing the company’s expansive event portfolio, which ranges from small-scale activities to major industry trade shows. This position involves managing 70 to 90 events annually, encompassing comprehensive event logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting, and on-site operations, among other responsibilities. The position is an individual contributor role, providing direct access to company leadership and significant ownership over event execution and strategic planning. Approximately 80 percent of the role centers on logistical execution, ensuring flawless event delivery, while 20 percent is dedicated to strategic aspects such as budgeting and optimizing event performance.

This role is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who thrives in managing simultaneous projects without sacrificing quality. The Events Manager will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and leadership teams to align event objectives with business goals. The role requires travel to approximately 25 percent of key events, providing hands-on oversight and real-time problem solving. The company is headquartered in Seattle and embraces a culture of innovation and inclusivity, encouraging candidates from diverse backgrounds to join and contribute to the future of critical public safety technology. Aurelian offers a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k), unlimited paid time off, equity participation, equipment stipend, relocation assistance, and a dynamic office environment in Seattle with daily catered lunches. Working at Aurelian presents a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to making a tangible difference in community safety and emergency response effectiveness.
