Job Description
Overtime is a groundbreaking global sports league dedicated to serving, educating, and empowering the most talented basketball and football players as they progress from proficiency to professional levels. Unlike traditional leagues, Overtime has created an innovative platform tailored to the next generation of superstars who previously lacked a league to represent them. This unique approach fills a market gap by focusing on elite athletes who have been underserved, offering them exposure, development opportunities, and a stage to shine internationally. Known for discovering the next wave of basketball superstars, Overtime challenges the conventional sports ecosystem by prioritizing storylines and fan engagement that other leagues often overlook. The company’s mission emphasizes empowerment and connection, leveraging cutting-edge events and dynamic experiences to support players and their journeys.
As a part of Overtime’s vibrant Events Team, the Manager of Events plays a crucial role in planning and executing live experiences that exemplify the brand’s identity and elevate fan interaction across various platforms. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Events, this role is responsible for the seamless delivery of Overtime’s league games, tournaments, partner activations, and special events, particularly at OTE Arena and related venues. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with leagues, partnerships, and operations teams to ensure every event is creative, high-impact, and flawlessly presented. From on-site coordination to logistical management, the Manager of Events oversees vendor relationships, event documentation, and production timelines to uphold the highest standards.
This role demands a blend of operational expertise and creative vision, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to Overtime’s evolving legacy of empowering athletes and engaging fans. It requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, implement scalable processes to enhance efficiency, and drive immersive brand integrations that enhance partner and fan experiences. Working at Overtime means being part of a forward-thinking organization dedicated to reinvention and excellence in the sports entertainment industry. This full-time position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation and passion for sports converge to create memorable, high-profile events that resonate on a global scale. Candidates must be prepared to work nights and weekends, handle physical tasks related to event setup, and maintain discretion with sensitive information. Overtime is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering diversity and inclusion across all facets of its workforce.
