Located on a beautiful and historic campus, BYU is dedicated not only to academic excellence but also to the spiritual development of its students and staff. This unique mission, rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, emphasizes assisting individuals in their quest for perfection and eternal life. BYU's culture promotes a strong sense of belonging among its employees and students, fostering an environment that is both supportive and inspiring. Weekly devotionals and numerous opportunities for learning and professional growth are hallmarks of the BYU community, making it an ideal place for individuals who seek to contribute to a greater cause while advancing their careers in an enriching setting.
The Events Manager role at BYU is central to the effective planning, execution, and management of campus-wide career fairs and career services events. This position not only involves oversight of the strategic design and logistics of these important activities but also includes revenue management and comprehensive reporting to ensure all events meet their goals and support the university’s mission of student development and employment success. The Events Manager acts as a key liaison between the university, employers, and students, building and maintaining positive professional relationships. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to coordinate with multiple campus departments such as scheduling, facilities, and police, as well as external vendors to ensure successful event execution. The manager is responsible for training and supervising student employees and volunteers, ensuring events provide high-quality opportunities related to employer engagement and student internships or job placements.
Further responsibilities include assisting with recruiting initiatives, supporting campus partners' event needs, and managing the digital presence of career fairs through the Career Services website. A strategic element of the role involves assessing the effectiveness of events and employer engagement through data analysis and reporting, enabling continuous improvement aligned with BYU’s goals. The role also involves collaboration with marketing teams to boost event visibility and with faculty and external partners to enhance employer participation and satisfaction.
This full-time role comes with a competitive salary typically ranging from $59,000 to $75,500, with compensation adjusted according to the candidate’s experience and qualifications. BYU offers a robust benefits package that supports employees' health, well-being, and work-life balance, underscoring its commitment to its workforce. For individuals who share BYU’s devotion to faith and excellence, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the university’s mission, engage with a vibrant community, and grow professionally in one of the nation’s most respected higher education environments.
