This esteemed property is strategically located near Chicago O'Hare International Airport, making it a preferred venue for both business and leisure travelers. The Westin brand is synonymous with wellness and well-being, aiming to provide guests and associates with an environment that fosters health, productivity, and overall balance. Marriott International strongly values diversity and inclusion, promoting an equal opportunity environment where every associate's unique background is celebrated and respected.

The role of Event Manager at The Westin O'Hare is a full-time, management-level position offering an annual salary ranging from $55,000 to $72,000, with bonus eligibility. As an Event Manager, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating seamless and memorable events by preparing event documentation and coordinating with sales, various property departments, and clients. This position primarily handles events of average complexity, ensuring a smooth transition from the sales process to event execution and back to sales follow-up. You will be responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities by identifying upselling and enhancement possibilities to make each event outstanding.

Your work will involve managing all event logistics from the initial planning stages through to the post-event phase, paying close attention to billing accuracy, group room blocks, meeting space coordination, and operational challenges. You will act as the liaison between the field sales team and customers, ensuring consistent communication and customer satisfaction throughout the event lifecycle. Participating in site inspections, assisting with sales, conducting pre- and post-event meetings, and providing exceptional customer service will be integral parts of your responsibilities.

Moreover, leadership is a critical component of this role. You will lead event management teams, facilitate meetings such as Banquet Event Orders and block reviews, and support the sales and marketing functions by forecasting revenue and assisting in the sales process. Developing corrective action plans, providing service feedback, and continuously improving the event planner experience are key to your success. The Westin O'Hare is dedicated to empowering its associates, encouraging a culture where well-being is prioritized both on and off the property. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about hospitality, who are proactive, optimistic, and eager to contribute to a leading wellness hospitality brand.

Being part of Marriott and The Westin family means joining a global community committed to offering comprehensive benefits that support you and your family. These benefits are designed to promote your well-being, career growth, and personal adventures.
