Job Description

Clear Path for Veterans is a distinguished national nonprofit organization based in Central New York that is dedicated to honoring and supporting veterans, service members, and their families. With a deep commitment to promoting wellness, community connection, and purpose, Clear Path has earned a strong reputation for its impactful programming and trusted partnerships within the veteran community. Founded on the principle that veterans thrive when they feel connected, valued, and supported, the organization continues to expand its reach and deepen its impact by investing in sustainable growth and operational excellence. Clear Path's programs are designed to create meaningful engagement and provide invaluable resources that foster the holistic well-being of veterans and their families, ensuring they have access to the support networks they need throughout various stages of life.

The Events Manager position at Clear Path for Veterans is a vital role responsible for the successful planning, management, and execution of the organization’s major fundraising events as well as smaller engagement events held throughout the year. The role is salaried, non-exempt, and based in Chittenango, with a work schedule primarily from Monday to Friday, including occasional evening and weekend commitments to support event schedules. The salary range for this position is between $52,000 and $60,000, depending on experience.

This multifaceted role involves overseeing all logistical, operational, and cross-functional aspects of event execution to ensure seamless operations and a superior experience for donors, sponsors, veterans, and community partners. The Events Manager plays a key role in driving fundraising revenue while supporting year-round donor engagement and stewardship goals. Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Events Manager collaborates closely with teams across Development, Marketing, Volunteer, Programs, and Operations to ensure every event is meticulously planned, on budget, and aligned with Clear Path’s mission and fundraising objectives.

Key responsibilities include managing vendors, venues, contracts, and production partners; developing detailed event timelines and budgets; coordinating volunteer recruitment and training; maintaining consistent communications with marketing for promotional materials; and ensuring sponsor benefits are delivered accurately and on time. Additionally, the role demands a strategic approach to transitioning event attendees into ongoing donors, producing detailed post-event reports, and offering recommendations for continuous improvement of fundraising outcomes.

Candidates for this position are expected to have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with three to five years of nonprofit event management or related fundraising roles, ideally with some experience working with veteran populations or veteran-focused causes. Strong project management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in donor management databases like Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications. The Events Manager must be adaptable to a flexible schedule, including occasional travel and the ability to handle duties in varying environments. The position requires a valid New York State driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

In summary, the Events Manager role at Clear Path for Veterans offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mission by executing high-impact fundraising events that support those who have served. This position not only demands exceptional organizational and communication skills but also a heartfelt commitment to empowering veterans and their families through community engagement and resource development. If you are passionate about making a tangible difference and thrive in a collaborative environment, this role is an excellent fit for your career aspirations.
