Job Description

Clear Path for Veterans is a prominent national nonprofit organization based in Central New York, committed to honoring and supporting veterans, service members, and their families. Through its diverse programs, the organization promotes wellness, community, and purpose among veterans, recognizing that these individuals thrive best when they feel connected, valued, and supported. Established with a passion for serving those who have served, Clear Path for Veterans has cultivated a strong reputation for impactful programming, trusted community partnerships, and meaningful engagement within the veteran community. As a growing organization, Clear Path is embarking on a key phase of development, focusing on strengthening its operational foundation to ensure sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term success of its mission.

The role of the Events Manager at Clear Path for Veterans is an integral part of this growth strategy. This vital position is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of the organization's major fundraising events, as well as supporting smaller engagement activities throughout the year. The Events Manager leads all logistical, operational, and cross-functional aspects of event management, ensuring that every gathering delivers a high-quality experience to donors, sponsors, veterans, and community partners. By guaranteeing smooth logistics and strong coordination across teams including Development, Marketing, Volunteer, Programs, and Operations, the Events Manager significantly contributes to Clear Path's ability to generate immediate revenue while fostering ongoing donor engagement.

Reporting directly to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Events Manager will be based in Chittenango, New York, working a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional evenings and weekends, particularly around event days. The position offers a salary range of $52,000 to $60,000 depending on experience. This role demands a highly organized professional with excellent project management skills, capable of navigating complex event logistics involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and venues. Their duties include budget oversight, contract management, vendor relations, and on-site event leadership to create seamless and impactful donor experiences.

Clear Path values a collaborative spirit, so the Events Manager works closely with marketing to ensure effective communications and promotional efforts, with volunteer management to coordinate necessary human resources, and with the development team to align event sponsorships and fundraising objectives. Post-event, the manager is responsible for producing comprehensive reports analyzing attendance, revenue, and sponsor follow-up, as well as providing insights to improve future events. This role is critical for sustaining Clear Path’s community engagement and fundraising efforts that empower veterans and their families.
