Job Description

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is a globally recognized leader in protective services, committed to enhancing safety and security across a wide range of industries. The company excels in delivering specialized guarding, cutting-edge technology solutions, and expert consulting services. Established on the foundational values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, Securitas places its people at the heart of its operations, fostering a culture of trust and dedication to client safety. As part of its mission to make the world a safer place, Securitas proudly supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring that every qualified candidate is welcomed without discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.

The Event Manager role at Securitas is a pivotal position responsible for orchestrating and managing the security operations of corporate events, conferences, and large-scale gatherings primarily located in Boston, MA, with an expectation of approximately 40 percent travel. This full-time exempt position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $95,000. The Event Manager is entrusted with overseeing all aspects of event security, from planning and budgeting through operational execution and post-event evaluation.

This role demands a proactive and meticulous professional who excels in project management and organizational skills. The Event Manager will lead security teams, act as the primary liaison with clients and event organizers, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive event plans, conducting venue security assessments, managing budgets and resources, and providing real-time oversight during events. Effective communication with all stakeholders is essential to guarantee smooth coordination and quick resolution of any issues that arise.

Beyond operational duties, the Event Manager is expected to identify potential risks, develop contingency strategies, and uphold the highest standards of health and safety compliance. Leading and motivating security personnel is also a critical component, requiring the delegation of responsibilities and ongoing performance feedback to maintain excellence. Following each event, the manager will conduct detailed evaluations and prepare reports that analyze performance and recommend improvements, along with handling financial reconciliations related to event budgets.

The ideal candidate brings over three years of relevant experience in event management or security-related environments, preferably within corporate or large-scale event settings. While security or protective services experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Strong real-time decision-making skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent events are essential for success in this dynamic role. Travel commitments of around 40 percent require flexibility and readiness to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedules.

Securitas offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, paid family leave in accordance with state law, weekly pay, telemedicine services, an employee assistance program, and numerous discounts on childcare, vehicles, electronics, travel, and more. The company’s supportive environment and commitment to employee well-being make it an exceptional place for professionals passionate about event operations, leadership, and safety to advance their careers.
