Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in event management or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • at least 1 year of experience in event management or related area

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation
  • coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
  • manage event logistics and operations
  • greet customers and hand-off to Event Operations team
  • ensure adherence to standards, policies, and procedures
  • manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • identify and resolve operational challenges
  • act as liaison between field salesperson and customer
  • participate in customer site inspections and sales assistance
  • solicit feedback to improve event planning
  • deliver excellent customer service
  • communicate event details verbally and in writing
  • oversee customer experience from file turnover to post-event
  • respond to guest problems and complaints
  • lead pre- and post-event team meetings
  • facilitate additional meetings as needed
  • assist in sales process and revenue forecasting
  • up-sell products and services
  • review guest satisfaction results
  • observe and provide feedback on service behaviors
  • assist in corrective action plans
  • continuously improve service performance
