Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in event management or related area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or similar field
  • At least 1 year of experience in event management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales and operations teams
  • Proficiency in event management software

Job Qualifications

  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 1 year of event management experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Customer service oriented with problem-solving skills
  • Experience in revenue forecasting and sales support
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Familiarity with event trends and design
  • Leadership experience in managing teams
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to handle guest feedback and complaints professionally

Job Duties

  • Prepare and coordinate all event documentation
  • Ensure seamless event progression by following procedures and collaborating with teams
  • Greet customers during events and hand-off to Event Operations
  • Manage billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews with clients
  • Oversee group room blocks and meeting spaces for assigned events
  • Identify and solve operational challenges with property staff and customers
  • Act as liaison between sales team and customers throughout event phases
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist in sales process
  • Conduct pre- and post-event meetings for assigned groups
  • Assist in sales process and revenue forecasting
  • Up-sell products and services during events
  • Lead event management teams and facilitate meetings
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest complaints
  • Solicit feedback to improve event planner experience
  • Coordinate and communicate event details to internal teams and customers
  • Support human resources activities such as reviewing guest satisfaction and providing employee feedback
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs
