Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in event management or related fields
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proven ability to manage large budgets
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • High attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Experience in budget management

  • Familiarity with managing large scale and complex events

Job Duties

  • Design and lead complex, large budget destination events
  • Negotiate and manage large contracts for venue, speakers, audiovisual (AVL), and talent
  • Build and execute an annual event strategy aligned with mission and Advancement priorities from ideation to execution to post event evaluation
  • Create transformational experiences
  • Design events and trips that connect partners meaningfully to the mission and invite deeper engagement
  • Lead cross functional collaboration
  • Bring together teams across the organization to create unified, high impact experiences
  • Own event logistics with excellence
  • Oversee venues, travel, accommodations, and all operational details with precision and care
  • Manage budgets responsibly
  • Ensure events are executed within approved budgets while maximizing impact
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Lead post event debriefs, gather insights, and strengthen future experiences through data and feedback
  • Advance mission outcomes
  • Contribute to broader Advancement strategies that fuel growth, partnership, and long term sustainability
