Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, communications, hospitality, business administration or related field or equivalent knowledge
- Minimum 7 years experience in event management, project management, experiential marketing or related fields
- Proven record of managing large-scale corporate, public, or government events
- Preferred 3 years or more of leadership experience
- Strong understanding of event production, logistics, and large-scale workflows
- Exceptional project management skills
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence all levels including executives
- Experience managing large event budgets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel frequently and work nights, weekends or off-hours
- Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in fast-paced environments
- Residency in greater Charlotte, North Carolina area
- Flexibility for weekend and outside normal business hours work
- Ability to travel occasionally
Job Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in event management, project management, experiential marketing or related fields
- Proven experience leading large-scale corporate, public or government events
- 3+ years of people leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of event production and logistics
- Exceptional project management skills
- Ability to collaborate and influence at all organization levels including executives
- Strong financial acumen managing large budgets
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of various markets
- Ability to travel frequently and work non-standard hours
- Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in high-pressure environments
Job Duties
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of enterprise-wide events tied to major initiatives
- Serve as primary contact for enterprise leadership, internal partners, and external stakeholders on event activity
- Manage and develop a team of event professionals ensuring consistency and quality
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Real Estate, Construction, Marketing, and Government Affairs
- Direct complex project timelines, vendor scopes, and event deliverables
- Oversee large-scale event production including venue selection, permitting, staging, and guest management
- Develop and manage event budgets ensuring financial accountability
- Select and negotiate with vendors including production companies, caterers, and creative agencies
- Ensure all events uphold company brand standards and deliver premium experiences
- Maintain post-event recap processes tracking metrics and insights for improvement
