Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • four years of related experience in event coordination or administrative support
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
  • capability to work in a hybrid work environment

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in related field
  • proven experience coordinating academic and social events
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • ability to work independently and prioritize
  • familiarity with event planning software preferred
  • knowledge of Yale systems advantageous
  • commitment to inclusiveness and community engagement
  • professional demeanor and confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate social and academic events
  • manage event logistics for in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats
  • coordinate communications, promotion, registration, and attendance for events
  • oversee budgeting, invoicing, and financial tracking for events
  • manage travel and accommodations for visiting guests
  • prepare and manage event materials and databases
  • serve as liaison with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • design marketing materials and collaborate with communications
  • staff events to ensure professional execution
  • assist in coordinating support staff activities
