The Events Coordinator role at Blue Origin is a critical position within the corporate functions team, supporting multiple business units including Customer Experience, Strategy, Marketing & Sales, C-Suite management, and more. This position is centered in Kent, Washington, and involves significant domestic and international travel. The individual selected for this role will be instrumental in shaping the customer and corporate event experience by managing the planning, coordination, and execution of a broad range of events nationally and internationally. These events vary significantly in size, from small gatherings of a few attendees to large-scale events with thousands of participants.
Serving as a key liaison between departments and external vendors, the Events Coordinator fosters strong business relationships and ensures seamless event execution. Responsibilities encompass complex calendar management, contract negotiations, budget development, attendee registration management, travel planning, and comprehensive event support. The role demands exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with competing deadlines, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who can work autonomously yet collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership across time zones. The Events Coordinator must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing high-profile clients, and handling sensitive information with discretion.
Candidates for this opportunity should bring 4 to 6 plus years of hospitality or event management experience, preferably with exposure to large conference planning. Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, Zoom, and other communication tools is essential. Public speaking skills and the ability to create impactful presentations will also contribute significantly to success in this role. Job Qualifications
- 4-6+ years of hospitality or events management experience
- large conference management preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word Outlook Excel and PowerPoint
- experience with Smartsheet Outlook Teams and Zoom
- strong public speaking skills
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Duties
- Partner closely with the Customer Experience team to execute and support over 100 national and international corporate events annually ranging from 2 to 6,000 attendees
- Manage complex calendars across business units within Blue Origin
- Liaise and negotiate contracts with vendors while ensuring appropriate terms are met and followed
- Develop internal documentation and review contracts and proposals to ensure commitments and accountability
- Oversee attendee registration websites communications program and attendee support
- Develop and ensure travel plans itineraries and agendas for internal and external customers
- Compile accurate documentation for travel-related events including airfare transportation hotels conference centers and restaurants
