Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree plus one year of event planning experience or a combination of relevant education and experience totaling five years
  • Ability to occasionally work a variable schedule including outside normal campus hours
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to maintain professional relationships with employers and UVU staff
  • Proficiency in event management software systems

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years
  • At least one year of event planning experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in event management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Skilled in using event management software systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with employers and university staff
  • Creative mindset for innovative ideas and solutions
  • Ability to work a variable schedule including outside normal campus hours

Job Duties

  • Function as the primary contact and coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution of Career and Internship Center events, including career fairs and networking events
  • Work with campus entities and department staff to schedule physical facilities and plan event logistics
  • Manage inventory and materials related to events, including ordering supplies and food
  • Coordinate event staff coverage, create detailed schedules, and oversee transport of event items
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote events and participate in the CIC events and marketing committee
  • Maintain relationships for space scheduling and meet calendaring deadlines
  • Maintain event reports, manage budget and purchases, and lead meeting agendas related to events
