The role of Events Coordinator, Admissions at MIT Sloan is central to ensuring the success of all recruiting and conversion events that are critical to the admissions process across various programs. This position involves comprehensive planning, execution, and oversight of events both virtually and on campus, as well as at international locations. The coordinator will be responsible for managing the logistics of diverse recruitment events, facilitating Zoom sessions for virtual recruitment and informational webinars, and utilizing the SLATE admissions CRM system to track event attendance and analyze attendee conversion rates to improve future event planning. This role also requires crafting and managing communications through pre-event and post-event emails and representing MIT Sloan Admissions within the broader MIT community and at external events such as Sloan on the Road (SOTR), program-specific info sessions, and fairs worldwide. The successful candidate will provide exemplary customer service to applicants and prospective students, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience that supports MIT Sloan's mission of attracting top-tier candidates.
This full-time position demands a proactive and detail-oriented professional skilled in multitasking across a portfolio of projects and partners simultaneously. Strong project management skills, including the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage budgets effectively, are essential. The role requires excellent oral and written presentation skills, self-motivation, and a continuous desire to learn and improve. Given the international scope of MIT Sloan’s recruitment efforts, the Events Coordinator must be willing and able to work nights and weekends as needed and travel up to 50 percent domestically and internationally. Discretion and sound judgement are critical in representing MIT Sloan and maintaining the institution’s high standards of professionalism and responsiveness. Preferred candidates will have experience or interest in academic administration and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Job Duties
