The Event Management position involves meeting with group coordinators or hosts prior to receptions, making introductions, and confirming that all preparation details are agreed upon. Special attention is given to handling and tracking all specific banquet event requests to make sure they are fulfilled satisfactorily. The role requires strict adherence to company policies and safety procedures, timely reporting of maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completion of required safety training and certifications.
This job demands high standards in appearance and professionalism, demanding that uniforms and personal grooming be maintained impeccably. Protecting company confidentiality and assets, supporting colleagues with dignity and respect, and contributing to achieving collective goals are essential elements of the role. Physical duties include moving, lifting, pushing, dragging, or placing items weighing less than 25 pounds independently, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods during shifts, visual inspection of information and equipment, and navigating narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Communication skills are vital, as employees are expected to greet and recognize guests formally according to company standards, speak clearly and professionally, and handle telephone calls appropriately.
