Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and co-workers
  • Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements for the job
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings in a public retail setting

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and managing children’s events
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Excellent people skills
  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and perform activities like face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback
  • Create backup or emergency plans for events
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by setting up and breaking down events
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and credit card enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
  • Assist with omni-channel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Demonstrate positive and respectful interactions
  • Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
