Job Description
Cushman & Wakefield is a leading global real estate services firm specializing in commercial property management, leasing, capital markets, and advisory services. With a rich history of delivering exceptional client service and innovative real estate solutions, the company operates in numerous countries, managing a diverse portfolio that includes office buildings, convention centers, hotels, and other public use facilities. Known for its commitment to sustainability and excellence, Cushman & Wakefield offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where employees are empowered to grow and contribute to the firm's success.
The Events Coordinator role at Cushman & Wakefield is an integral part of the Site Services team, focused on ensuring the seamless execution of events and meetings across various facilities. This position involves close collaboration with onsite catering services, administrative personnel, and the facilities team to ensure that all event spaces are set up according to detailed Meeting Setup Requests. The coordinator is responsible for managing logistics, coordinating with vendors, handling physical setup tasks, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of event areas. The role demands strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to problem-solve quickly under pressure to guarantee that events proceed smoothly.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $23.29 to $27.40 per hour, reflecting the candidate's experience and geographic location. The Events Coordinator must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and climbing ladders, highlighting the physical nature of some duties. The job also requires proficiency with Google Suite tools such as Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Gmail, demonstrating the company's reliance on technology to facilitate efficient event management. Cushman & Wakefield values candidates who bring a positive, can-do attitude and who can multitask effectively while prioritizing client and safety needs.
In addition to the core responsibilities of coordinating logistics and event setups, the Events Coordinator performs tasks such as moving furniture, conducting inspections of facilities and equipment, liaising with clients and vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and organizational policies. The role also includes light custodial duties after events, reinforcing the importance of maintaining high standards for the appearance of meeting and public areas.
This position is suited for candidates with at least two years of experience coordinating events in office buildings, convention centers, theaters, hotels, or other public venues. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference given to those who have additional college or university credits. The ideal candidate is computer literate, comfortable communicating at all levels, and able to work independently in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. Cushman & Wakefield promotes equal employment opportunities and is committed to providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
