Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton, a prestigious name in luxury hospitality, operates more than 100 award-winning properties worldwide, dedicated to creating exceptional experiences that resonate long after a guest's stay. As a part of Marriott International's portfolio of brands, The Ritz-Carlton is renowned for its commitment to excellence, luxury, and unparalleled guest service. Their team, composed of the world’s top hospitality professionals, prides itself on delivering excellence in care, comfort, and personalized experience. The company fosters a culture that values creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion, believing that these qualities help associates succeed and contribute to lifelong memories for guests.

This role focuses primarily on the banquet events segment, where attention to detail, communication, and hospitality skills are essential. The Meet Group Coordinator/Host(ess) is responsible for ensuring smooth coordination and execution of banquet functions. This includes meeting with group coordinators or hosts prior to events to make introductions and confirm arrangements, articulating guest needs from banquet event orders, and responding to any special requests related to setup, timelines, catering elements such as buffets and action stations. The role demands a proactive follow-up on these arrangements to ensure that all compliances are met to the highest standards expected at The Ritz-Carlton.

The Meet Group Coordinator/Host(ess) must adhere to all company, safety, and security protocols, promptly reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete all mandated safety training and certifications. Personal presentation and professional appearance are paramount, maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets. The position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, welcoming guests in line with company standards, anticipating service needs, and showing genuine appreciation to every guest.

This role also involves active teamwork and support to meet common goals, quality assurance, and the ability to handle logistical tasks related to event setup and inspection of equipment and tools. Physical requirements include standing or walking for extended periods, safely handling objects under 25 pounds, and navigating various physical environments safely. The position embraces flexibility and the willingness to perform reasonable additional tasks as requested by supervisors.

Joining The Ritz-Carlton team means aligning with the brand's 'Gold Standards,' which are foundational to its success in delivering luxury hospitality. These standards emphasize the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values that every associate upholds daily. The Ritz-Carlton offers a welcoming and inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and equal opportunity. Prospective team members can expect a supportive environment where they can take pride in their roles and develop professionally within one of the world’s leading luxury hotel brands.
