Job Description

Cocopah Casino, operated by the Cocopah Indian Tribe, is a premier entertainment and gaming destination located in Arizona. Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and commitment to providing excellent guest experiences, Cocopah Casino offers a wide range of attractions including casino gaming, dining, and event hosting. The establishment has built a strong reputation for quality and community involvement, maintaining a professional yet welcoming environment for both patrons and staff. This venue is equipped to host large-scale events and has become a hub for entertainment and social gatherings in the region. Offering full-time employment opportunities, Cocopah Casino provides competitive salaries aligned with experience and education, alongside valuable fringe benefits designed to support employees' health, financial security, and personal growth.

We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Events Center Manager to oversee operations at our large-capacity venue, which accommodates over 2,000 guests. The Events Center Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by managing all operational aspects including staff supervision, event setup and breakdown, compliance with safety regulations, financial oversight, and maintaining the venue's presentation and functionality. This managerial position demands strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a strategic mindset for handling multiple concurrent events while fostering a collaborative, efficient, and safety-conscious team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing diverse teams such as sound and audio technicians, banquet servers, concession workers, and janitorial staff. They will ensure that every event is executed flawlessly by coordinating with clients, promoters, and vendors to meet all event requirements. The role involves developing detailed event timelines, staffing plans, and logistical strategies to handle the complexity of large-scale events. Additionally, the Events Center Manager will maintain compliance with all applicable safety, fire, and occupancy regulations to ensure the safety of guests and staff alike.

Financial management is a critical component of this role. The manager will develop and administer the annual operating budget, monitor expenses related to labor, supplies, and vendor contracts, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality. Presenting operational and financial reports to senior leadership will be a regular responsibility, necessitating a keen ability to analyze performance metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.

The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of audio/visual systems, food and beverage operations, and custodial best practices with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They must be flexible, capable of managing a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment, and able to maintain physical stamina for tasks during event setup and teardown. Experience in supervising large teams and managing high-volume events is essential, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and continuously improving operational efficiency.

At Cocopah Casino, we value our employees and offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, employee assistance programs, 401K with employer match, and ancillary benefits such as AFLAC and VTL. We uphold equal employment opportunity principles and maintain rigorous standards to ensure a professional and safe workplace. Applicants must meet suitability criteria set by the Cocopah Indian Tribe and pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.

With a flexible schedule requirement including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, this full-time position is ideal for a dedicated professional seeking to grow within an innovative and dynamic entertainment venue environment.
