The Cocopah Casino and the Cocopah Indian Tribe operate a prestigious entertainment venue that commands a reputation for providing superior event experiences across a large-capacity facility accommodating over 2,000 guests. Positioned in the dynamic hospitality and entertainment sector, the casino's events center serves as an essential hub for concerts, banquets, conferences, and various live performances. The role offered is for an Events Center Manager who will play a pivotal leadership role in managing the day-to-day operations of the events center. The Events Center Manager will supervise diverse teams including sound and audio technicians, banquet staff, concession teams, and janitorial personnel, ensuring seamless collaboration, high service standards, and an efficient, positive work environment.

As the on-site point of contact during events, this manager will coordinate actively with clients, promoters, and vendors to meet and exceed event requirements, while upholding safety, operational, and aesthetic standards throughout the venue. They will manage logistical details such as staging, lighting, seating, AV systems, and sanitation while ensuring compliance with fire and occupancy regulations, exemplifying utmost attention to safety and guest comfort.

Financial acumen is equally important in this role. The Events Center Manager is responsible for developing and managing the annual operating budget, controlling departmental expenses including labor and supplies, analyzing financial performance, and implementing cost-saving strategies that do not compromise event quality or guest satisfaction. They will prepare and present detailed financial reports and operational insights to senior leadership, playing a strategic part in the long-term success of the center.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the events center ensuring the facility is event-ready at all times
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown including staging lighting seating and AV systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety fire and occupancy regulations
  • Recruit train schedule and supervise sound audio technicians banquet servers concession workers and janitorial staff
  • Conduct regular team meetings performance reviews and ongoing training to maintain high service standards
  • Promote a positive collaborative and safety-focused work environment
  • Coordinate with clients promoters and vendors to ensure all event requirements are met
  • Develop and manage event timelines staffing plans and operational logistics
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact during events resolving issues in real time
  • Ensure cleanliness maintenance and presentation of the venue before during and after events
  • Monitor inventory and supply levels for concessions banquet services and janitorial operations
  • Liaise with maintenance teams for repairs upgrades and inspections
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the events center
  • Track and control departmental expenses including labor supplies and vendor contracts
  • Analyze financial performance and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality
