We are currently looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join our expanding team in Detroit. This role is integral to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of various events—from initial concept through to post-event completion. As an Events Assistant at Story Lane Box, you will be instrumental in supporting logistical arrangements, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and managing event schedules and budgets. This highly organized position requires excellent communication and time-management skills, enabling seamless event experiences that align with the company’s standards of excellence.   • bachelor's degree in event management communications marketing or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in event coordination or administrative support internships considered
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • proficiency in microsoft office excel word powerpoint
  • willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Job Duties

  • assist in planning and organizing events including logistics timelines and vendor coordination
  • support on-site event execution and troubleshooting
  • maintain and update event schedules budgets and documentation
  • coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth operations
  • prepare materials presentations and follow-up reports
  • assist in managing event inventory and supplies
  • conduct site visits and assist with venue arrangements
  • provide administrative support as needed to the Events Manager
