Under the visionary leadership of Music Director Alex Prior, the Symphony delivers a diverse range of orchestral performances, educational initiatives, and community engagement programs. These efforts collectively aim to enhance the quality of life through the transformative power of music. The Symphony's commitment to artistic excellence and community impact makes it an inspiring place for professionals passionate about the arts and cultural stewardship.
The Eugene Symphony is currently seeking an energetic, highly organized, and relationship-focused Events & Stewardship Manager. This full-time exempt position plays a critical role in spearheading the Symphony’s donor engagement and fundraising efforts. The role primarily involves organizing memorable donor events, leading stewardship initiatives, managing sponsor hospitality programs, overseeing donor recognition efforts, and driving audience engagement strategies. The Events & Stewardship Manager works closely with the Director of Development and Development Manager to cultivate meaningful connections with donors and sponsors that deepen their engagement and inspire continued philanthropic support.
This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, creative, and passionate about crafting exceptional experiences that reflect the Eugene Symphony’s dedication to excellence. The manager will coordinate multiple events throughout the season, including major fundraisers like the Annual Gala and Opening Night celebrations, as well as more intimate donor gatherings hosted in private homes. Efficiently managing logistics, budgets, vendor relationships, and guest experiences is essential to success in this role. In addition, the Events & Stewardship Manager will lead donor recognition efforts through various communication channels, ensuring timely acknowledgments and meaningful connections with supporters.
Beyond event management, this role also involves stewarding sponsor relationships by managing benefits, ensuring hospitality standards are met, and creating VIP experiences that offer special access to concerts and programs. The manager will support legacy giving and planned giving initiatives, helping to sustain the Symphony’s financial health for the long term. They will also play an active role in data management, tracking donor participation and engagement metrics through CRM platforms, with PatronManager and Salesforce experience being highly valued.
The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of relevant fundraising, events, or nonprofit management experience and excel in project management, interpersonal communication, and relationship-building. A strong commitment to customer service and a passion for the arts are essential. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events is required. This role offers a salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience, accompanied by comprehensive benefits including employer-sponsored health and dental insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, unlimited vacation leave, and paid sick leave.
The Eugene Symphony fosters a collaborative, mission-driven workplace culture that values enthusiasm, creativity, and hospitality. It is proud to be an equal opportunity employer welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply. Joining the Eugene Symphony as the Events & Stewardship Manager provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving cultural organization and make a lasting impact on the arts community.
