Job Description

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) has been a beacon of Christian ministry and evangelism for over 70 years, proclaiming the Gospel and spreading the message of Jesus Christ through multiple impactful ministries. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the BGEA operates not only domestically across key locations such as the Billy Graham Library, Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove in Asheville, and Blue Ridge Broadcasting but also extends its influence globally through field offices abroad. The organization embodies a strong Christian mission that integrates faith in every aspect of work life, fostering a dedicated team united by common goals — to reach people to the ends of the earth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Employees at BGEA are called to embody the religious mission of the organization through consistent witness and prayer, providing spiritual encouragement both in and out of the work environment.

This specific role of Events and Project Coordinator plays a vital part within the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) and the National Law Enforcement Ministry (NLEM). The primary responsibility of this position is to act as a liaison between the internal communications department and BG-RRT/NLEM, ensuring the smooth completion of all communication projects and events. The role demands oversight and coordination of print and digital media projects, website creation, email communications, and event logistics, contributing to the effective delivery of training and ministry outreach programs. The Events and Project Coordinator organizes key ministry events such as Sharing Hope in Crisis seminars and Military Chaplain Retreats, handles scheduling and approvals for audio and video ministries, and manages event data collection and dissemination among departments. This position is not only administrative but deeply rooted in ministry as it supports crisis-trained chaplain deployments and emotional and spiritual care for those affected by disasters and law enforcement challenges. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in project management tools and communication platforms. It also demands a strong personal commitment to Christian faith and BGEA’s foundational beliefs including a living relationship with Jesus Christ, prayer, and active participation in staff devotions. Working conditions include a conventional office setting with occasional extended hours and travel requirements to conferences and ministry events. The association emphasizes flexibility and adaptability given the dynamic nature of ministry work and promotes a collaborative environment that values professional growth, spiritual development, and impactful ministry service. Joining BGEA as an Events and Project Coordinator means becoming part of a faith-driven mission that transcends routine job responsibilities to contribute significantly to a global evangelistic impact, all grounded in biblical principles and the lifelong work pioneered by Billy Graham.
