Job Requirements

  • CNA certification preferred
  • 2 years of experience in social or recreational programming in health care setting working with residents dementia preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with demonstrated creativity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

  • Experience in social or recreational programming in a healthcare setting working with residents, dementia preferred

Job Duties

  • Participates in planning and leads creative community events and programs of interest to residents and families
  • Organize volunteers
  • Prepares activity assessments and MDS for each resident according to regulatory requirements and completes participation in Caretracker
  • Assists with arranging transportation to events, programs and field trips as necessary
  • Implements passive exercise and wellness programs on the nursing units
