The Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati (SVDP) is a deeply rooted nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the residents of the greater Cincinnati area for over 150 years. The position of Events & Partnership Manager at SVDP plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s mission through strategic engagement and resource mobilization. Reporting directly to the Director of Events & Community Engagement, this manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and seamless execution of a variety of events and community drives that are vital to sustaining and growing SVDP’s outreach capabilities. This role is tailored for a proactive, highly organized, and collaborative professional equipped to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced nonprofit environment.

The Events & Partnership Manager oversees a comprehensive portfolio that includes managing logistics, aligning partnerships, and fostering community involvement. Key duties encompass orchestrating event details such as securing venues, vendors, volunteers, and in-kind donations while maintaining meticulous records of attendees, sponsors, and partners. The role demands strong communication skills to interface effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including vendors, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and internal teams. In addition to event logistics, partnership management is a core responsibility involving tracking sponsorships, coordinating engagement activities, and preparing analytical reports to highlight achievements and areas of growth.

This role requires strategic thinking coupled with hands-on execution capabilities to ensure that every event and partnership initiative is carried out flawlessly and delivers meaningful impact. The Events & Partnership Manager also plays an integral part in supporting marketing efforts, volunteer coordination, and post-event evaluations to continually optimize outcomes. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as well as the ability to travel locally, are essential to meeting the demands of this position. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event planning, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in event planning
  • Proven track record of managing high-level events
  • Experience in fundraising, relationship management, drives, or in-kind donations is a plus
  • Familiarity with DonorPerfect or similar CRM database preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for community service and SVDP's mission
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel locally
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25lbs
  • Capacity to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during events and drives

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in event planning, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in event planning with a proven track record of managing high-level events
  • Experience in fundraising, relationship management, drives, in-kind donations or equivalent roles is a plus
  • Familiarity with DonorPerfect or similar CRM database preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for SVDP's mission and a strong commitment to community service
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally in accordance with job duties
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Manage logistics for all SVDP events and drives in collaboration with the Director of Events & Community Engagement
  • Coordinate SVDP and community drives by securing participants and engaging with participating organizations
  • Oversee scheduling and logistics for drive materials and donations and ensure timely post-drive communications
  • Respond to inquiries and coordinate outreach to vendors, attendees, sponsors, and volunteers via phone and email
  • Organize, manage, and prepare event and engagement materials including signage, displays, promotional items, and event-specific items
  • Prepare, maintain, and update essential documents such as checklists, schedules, and contact lists
  • Track and maintain accurate records of event attendees, drive participants, volunteers, sponsors, and partners
  • Secure and coordinate vendors for food and beverage, décor, rentals, and other event services managing timelines and expectations
  • Solicit, secure, and manage in-kind donations including raffle and silent auction items while maintaining organized records
  • Collaborate with the Volunteer team to secure volunteer support for events and drives, ensuring volunteers are trained and equipped
  • Assist with marketing and promotion efforts in partnership with the Marketing team
  • Ensure event-day success by coordinating setup, registration, event flow, and teardown and resolving issues proactively
  • Lead post-event wrap-up including unpacking, organizing, storing supplies, preparing acknowledgments, and debriefing to evaluate outcomes
  • Document, track, and maintain records of partnership activities including sponsorships, donations, volunteer involvement, service learning, and in-kind contributions
  • Schedule and coordinate engagement activities ensuring logistics are planned, recorded, and communicated
  • Prepare partnership reports highlighting key contributions, volunteer involvement, and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate across departments to align partnership needs with organizational resources and goals
  • Support relationship-building and stewardship efforts to strengthen existing partnerships and cultivate new opportunities
  • Perform additional duties including special projects and initiatives
  • Serve as backup support for the Volunteer team during PTO or absences ensuring continued volunteer operations
