The role of Events & Ministry Coordinator at Apartment Life is designed for individuals who are passionate about community building and ministry. Coordinators play a vital role in crafting an exceptional Apartment Life experience by planning two high-quality monthly events that nurture resident relationships and connect people with onsite staff and local services. This position's essence lies in hospitality and service, requiring a caring and consistent presence in the community, the ability to collaborate with volunteers, community partners, and vendors, and a dedication to improving residents' lives by fostering meaningful connections. Apart from event planning, the coordinator will manage marketing efforts, including creating calendars, flyers, and social media posts to enhance community engagement and reputation. Although this position requires a commitment of 12 hours weekly primarily during evenings and weekends, it offers a unique opportunity to practice ministry through professional excellence and loving service. The coordinator will work closely with onsite staff and the Program Director, participating in training and planning meetings to continually develop and improve the Apartment Life experience. This role is ideal for mission-minded, relational individuals who enjoy meeting new people and orchestrating activities that reflect God's unconditional love while promoting neighborliness and community support.

Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Basic fluency in English, including the ability to create marketing materials and complete required reports
Possess a valid driver's license, current liability insurance, and reliable transportation for duties such as shopping for events and meeting vendors
Physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds
Availability to commit weekly hours, primarily during evenings and weekends when residents are most often home
Ability to commit to the minimum term of service at the assigned apartment community

Job Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older

Previous experience planning or coordinating high-quality events
Experience working within a budget
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing practices
An existing network of potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners

Job Duties

Plan and host 2 high-quality monthly events for residents to care for and connect residents to one another, onsite staff, and local services or businesses
Provide a consistent, caring presence for residents and property staff with the support of residents, volunteers, and community partners
Enhance the community's online reputation by inviting residents to share their experiences
Create marketing materials for activities, including monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts
Manage the event budget and related processes
Prepare and submit monthly summaries and reports
Meet regularly with onsite staff and the Program Director for planning, training, and development
Recruit, engage, and coordinate volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact
Visit new residents shortly after they move in and/or residents who are near the end of their lease to connect with them
