Job Description

Apartment Life is a unique community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the living experience in apartment communities through meaningful social connections, events, and genuine care. The company is passionate about building vibrant residential environments where residents feel connected, valued, and supported. Their approach integrates the principles of hospitality, business excellence, and community building to create an atmosphere that goes beyond the traditional apartment living experience. By fostering a spirit of connection and care, Apartment Life not only enriches resident satisfaction but also supports property management goals by increasing resident retention and positive community engagement.

The role of Events and Ministry Coordinator at Apartment Life is a non-paid, mission-driven position ideal for individuals who are passionate about combining their faith, relational skills, and organizational talents to strengthen community ties within an apartment complex. Coordinators serve as the heartbeat of community engagement, crafting and implementing events that energize residents, build friendships, and connect individuals to vital resources and support systems. This position requires creativity, strategic planning, and heartfelt hospitality to deliver consistent, high-quality programming that resonates with residents' needs and interests.

Coordinators are entrusted with the responsibility of planning and hosting two events each month. These events are designed not only to entertain but to foster meaningful connections among residents and between residents and the wider community, including local businesses and service providers. Coordinators play a key role in communicating personally with residents, offering acts of care and hospitality that help foster a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere. They also use their interpersonal skills to connect residents during key moments such as move-in or lease renewal, ensuring ongoing engagement and support.

In addition to event planning and resident interaction, coordinators manage marketing efforts, including creating monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media content that promote apartment community activities. They handle budget management for their events, maintaining financial responsibility and accountability. Coordinators compile monthly reports that summarize community engagement and event outcomes, which support continuous improvement and transparent communication with property management staff.

The role also involves collaboration with a broad network of volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize the impact and reach of events and services offered. Coordinators meet regularly with property management and program directors to align community engagement efforts with broader organizational goals and receive ongoing training and development.

This position requires a strong commitment, particularly during evenings and weekends when residents are most likely to be home to participate in events. The ideal candidate is mission-minded, highly relational, enjoys meeting new people, and is driven by a desire to serve and care for others while advancing the organization's vision. Coordinators have the rewarding experience of doing business as ministry, blending professional skills with a heartfelt commitment to loving and supporting their neighbors within the apartment community.
