Job Description

Apartment Life (AL) is a mission-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the living experiences of apartment residents through intentional community engagement and exceptional hospitality. AL operates within apartment communities, creating vibrant, welcoming environments that foster connections among residents and between residents and local resources. The organization thrives on its foundational principle of "business as ministry," where excellence in event planning and community interaction is seamlessly integrated with the mission of sharing God’s unconditional love. This approach ensures that every activity and interaction not only meets the highest standards of quality but also embodies genuine care and spiritual support.

The role of an Events and Ministry Coordinator at Apartment Life is both impactful and rewarding. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about building meaningful relationships, creating memorable experiences, and serving their community with a heart for ministry. Coordinators are responsible for organizing and hosting monthly events that bring residents together, cultivate a sense of belonging, and connect people to broader community services and businesses. These events are carefully crafted to be irresistible and engaging, encouraging participation and fostering a vibrant community culture.

This position is not paid, offering volunteers a unique opportunity to contribute their skills and time in a way that deeply impacts apartment residents’ lives. Coordinators work closely with property management, residents, volunteers, and community partners to create and implement event plans, manage event budgets, and develop marketing materials such as flyers, calendars, and social media promotions. They also provide personal outreach, connecting with new residents and those nearing lease completion to ensure they feel cared for and supported within the community.

Events and Ministry Coordinators serve as a vital link in the AL mission, blending practical event planning with heartfelt ministry. Applicants should be mission-minded, highly relational, and responsible individuals who enjoy forming new relationships and have a strong commitment to serving others. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse network of volunteers, vendors, and staff. By joining Apartment Life as a coordinator, individuals become part of a larger movement focused on transforming apartment living through radical hospitality and community-centered excellence.
