Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Basic fluency in English to compose marketing materials and reports
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and liability insurance
  • Have access to reliable transportation
  • Physically capable of using stairs, bending, sitting, standing, stooping, and carrying up to 25 pounds
  • Available to commit weekly hours mostly during evenings and weekends
  • Able to make a minimum term commitment to serving the apartment community

  • Previous event planning experience preferred
  • Budget management experience preferred
  • Social media experience preferred
  • Network of potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan and host one event each month for apartment residents with the goal of caring for and connecting residents
  • Provide personal care and support to residents and staff with assistance from residents and community support networks
  • Enhance the apartment community's online reputation by encouraging residents to share their positive experiences
  • Develop marketing materials including monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts
  • Manage the budget process for events
  • Prepare and submit monthly summary reports
  • Collaborate with staff and program directors for planning, equipping, and development
  • Engage volunteers, vendors, and community partners to support and maximize event impact
  • Connect with new residents soon after move-in and with residents nearing lease end to maintain community ties
