Job Description

Bennett Valley Golf Course is a picturesque, community-focused 18-hole golf course located in Santa Rosa, renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, approachable play, and stunning views of the valley. This establishment is more than just a golf course; it serves as a cherished gathering place where people of all ages and skill levels come together to enjoy the sport amidst beautiful natural surroundings. At the heart of Bennett Valley Golf Course lies the Iron & Vine Restaurant, Bar & Events, which offers a modern indoor-outdoor space perfect for dining and socializing. The restaurant is known for its seasonal cuisine that highlights fresh, local ingredients, a full bar that caters to a variety of tastes, and a versatile setting suitable for weddings, social gatherings, corporate events, tournaments, and special celebrations. The combination of recreational, culinary, and event-hosting facilities makes Bennett Valley a vibrant and multi-faceted destination for both locals and visitors alike.

The role available at Bennett Valley Golf Course focuses on supporting the sales and marketing efforts of this high-volume golf course and event venue, particularly after contract completion. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing event logistics, client communication, and marketing execution to ensure every event is flawlessly prepared, finalized, and executed. A significant part of your job will involve transitioning events from sales to operations, coordinating closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to manage payments, documentation, and client meetings. Additionally, you will help finalize event details such as Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, and floorplans, and maintain clear and timely communication with clients and internal teams to guarantee smooth event execution.

This position demands a high level of organization and accuracy, especially in managing financial records, tracking deposits and payments, and reconciling post-event billing based on actual attendance and consumption. You will also play a vital role in maintaining systems such as CRM and POS, ensuring all records and timelines are current and audit-ready. Beyond event coordination, you will contribute to marketing efforts by executing marketing collateral, creating and scheduling social media and promotional content, maintaining content libraries, and tracking marketing performance. The role requires a flexible schedule, generally Tuesday through Saturday availability, with occasional evenings, Sundays, and early mornings depending on event and operational needs.

The position is full-time, non-seasonal, hourly, and non-exempt, offering a competitive pay range of $25-27 per hour plus commission. Working with KemperSports Management, an equal opportunity employer, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding environment for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality and event management setting. Bennett Valley Golf Course is an ideal workplace for those passionate about golf, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences for clients and guests in a community-centered environment. This job represents an excellent opportunity to develop career skills in event coordination, marketing, and client relations while contributing to the success of a well-regarded local establishment.
