The role of Events & Experience Manager is integral to the success of Guthrie Green and LowDown. This full-time position requires a professional who is passionate about event management, guest service, and operational excellence. The manager leads all aspects of public-facing events and guest experiences across both venues, ensuring that every event is executed flawlessly, guest centric, and aligned with organizational standards. This position acts as a key liaison, collaborating closely with Creative Production teams and Talent Booking managers to seamlessly integrate artistic direction, technical requirements, and operational logistics.

Key responsibilities include strategic event planning, budget management, staff supervision, venue presentation, and guest experience leadership. The manager oversees the entire lifecycle of events—from initial concept to execution and post-event evaluation—to guarantee operational efficiency and a welcoming environment. They develop timelines, manage resources, and supervise event specialists and support teams to uphold excellence in event delivery. This role also emphasizes continuous improvement through evaluating program performance and guest feedback.

Beyond event execution, the manager plays a critical role in guiding guest interactions and experience design. They ensure all events and programs are inclusive, accessible to diverse audiences, and aligned with community engagement goals. This involves monitoring guest flow, addressing concerns diplomatically, and maintaining a consistent quality of experience whether on event days or during regular park hours.

The position requires a balanced focus on venue presentation, including cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of public spaces, and rehearsal facilities known as Fly Loft. This venue oversight entails coordinating with horticulture, custodial, and facilities management teams to uphold the spaces at the highest standards.

The role demands a leader who is organized, communicative, and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment that often includes evening, weekend, and holiday work. The manager is expected to demonstrate core leadership competencies such as connection, alignment, acumen, evolution, and performance, fostering a culture of team collaboration and continuous development.

Candidates for this position should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event management, hospitality, recreation, or related fields and have at least three years of relevant professional experience. Strong skills in event logistics, guest experience design, leadership, and problem-solving are essential. Moreover, a professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, and the physical ability to perform event-related tasks are required.
