The company is currently hiring for the position of Activities Director at their Cape Coral, Florida resort. This role is pivotal in orchestrating and delivering a diverse array of events and activities that enrich the community experience and contribute to the overall guest satisfaction. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and implementation of resort events, coordinating with sponsors, volunteers, and vendors to ensure seamless execution. Your role will involve managing all aspects of event logistics including scheduling, food and beverage arrangements, volunteer coordination, entertainment booking, and financial tasks such as ticket sales management.
In addition to event management, you will oversee the production of the resort's monthly newsletter, taking charge of content gathering, layout design, and coordinating with printers and delivery services. Maintaining open and clear communication channels with resort management, guests, and external partners is essential to this role. Professionalism and a high level of organizational skills are crucial since you will be the face of the resort’s social and recreational activities.
This position requires a dedicated individual with a meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational capabilities. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary, with preferred knowledge of Microsoft Publisher to aid in newsletter creation. The position requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent and more than three years of experience in events or activities planning.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Plan and schedule events for all groups within the resort, as well as private events at the resort facilities
- Coordinate and manage all preparations for events including arranging food and beverages, soliciting and scheduling volunteers, booking entertainers, and collecting ticket sales
- Arrange for sponsors to fund events
- Review requests and select vendors to conduct informational seminars
- Manage all activities related to monthly newsletters including gathering information for articles, preparing layouts, submitting final drafts to the printer, and arranging for delivery
- Maintain open communications with resort management, guests, and vendors
- Represent the resort in a professional manner at all times
