This is a full-time hourly position with a pay range between $14.22 and $18.49 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, and may include opportunities for overtime and bonuses.

The role of the Audiovisual Technician at Encore is integral to event success, focused on accurately setting up, operating, and breaking down audiovisual equipment while providing excellent customer service. The technician travels to event sites such as hotels or convention centers, managing equipment that ranges from basic audio systems to more complex setups necessary for corporate meetings, social events, and presentations. This position demands technical proficiency in audiovisual technology, problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment or software issues, and strong interpersonal ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment functionality during events, monitoring client satisfaction, and assisting with invoicing and equipment orders. The technician also supports increasing revenue through strategic upselling during event setups. Physical requirements are significant; the role involves lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, standing, walking, and occasional work at heights using lifts or ladders. Work schedules may be irregular, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts, to meet event demands. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion or commitment to complete required training and certifications
  • At least one year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • At least one year of audiovisual experience or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license if operating company vehicles
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Availability to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to maintain positive client interactions
  • Physical ability to perform job functions including lifting, standing, and climbing
  • Adherence to company appearance guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Completion of Encore’s Global Learning Training Program certifications
  • Minimum one year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Minimum one year of audiovisual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required for vehicle operation
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours and in various hotel locations

Job Duties

  • Ensure flawless event execution through timely and accurate setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment
  • Exceed customer expectations by providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication
  • Meet with guests onsite to verify equipment setup and operational needs
  • Monitor ongoing events and check in with customers regularly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues promptly
  • Complete systems entry, order entries, and assist with invoicing using company processes and software
  • Implement up-selling techniques to increase revenue during event setups
  • Collaborate with other staff and vendors for equipment coordination
