Job Description

Encore is a leading global event technology company specializing in delivering extraordinary audiovisual experiences for hospitality and convention environments. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, Encore partners with hotels, conference centers, and event organizers to provide cutting-edge audiovisual solutions that enhance guest experiences and ensure successful events every time. Their expertise spans event technology, production services, and technical support, making them a trusted name in the industry worldwide. As a company committed to quality and client satisfaction, Encore integrates state-of-the-art equipment with specialized personnel to meet a diverse range of event needs, from small meetings to large conferences and grand productions.

The role of Technician at Encore is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of audiovisual service within hospitality settings such as hotels and convention centers. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of small-scale audiovisual systems to ensure flawless event delivery. Working under the supervision of an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology, the Technician acts as the frontline representative of Encore’s technology services, directly interacting with clients to meet and exceed their event expectations.

A Technician’s responsibilities include the technical setup of equipment needed for events, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on-site, and providing continuous customer support throughout the event. The role demands technical proficiency with audiovisual gear, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to maintain positive client relationships. Technicians must be adept at following company protocols and adhering to safety standards while moving, setting up, and operating equipment, sometimes requiring physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds.

In addition to technical skills, the Technician must be customer-focused, ensuring that every event runs smoothly by monitoring the equipment and client satisfaction during events. The job requires working in dynamic environments with varied noise levels and may include irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. Physical requirements include standing, walking, stooping, crawling, kneeling, bending, reaching, and potentially climbing, all critical to effectively managing the setup and teardown of audiovisual equipment.

Encore supports its employees with ongoing training and certification programs to keep their skills current and aligned with industry standards. This role offers career growth opportunities within a global company recognized for its workplace culture and commitment to equal opportunity employment. The Technician position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology, customer service, and the event industry, seeking a challenging and rewarding career in a fast-paced, hospitality-oriented environment.
