Job Description

Encore Global is a leading audiovisual production company specializing in delivering innovative and high-quality AV solutions for events hosted across the hospitality and convention center industries. Known for supporting meetings, conferences, and corporate events, Encore Global focuses on combining cutting-edge technology with exceptional client service to ensure seamless event experiences. With a widespread presence in hotels and convention centers, the company prides itself on creating engaging, memorable, and technically flawless environments by employing skilled professionals who bring technical expertise and customer-focused service to every project.

The Technician role within Encore Global is integral to the successful setup and operation of small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment. Reporting to managers within the Operations or Event Technology divisions, the Technician ensures the flawless execution of audiovisual components for various events. Responsibilities include timely and accurate setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment while maintaining positive client communication to exceed customer expectations. This position demands a strong technical acumen to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or software issues efficiently, paired with excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships throughout event execution.

Technicians at Encore Global play an essential part in the customer journey, from meeting with clients on-site to verify operational readiness to monitoring the event progress and managing equipment logistics alongside vendors and other teams. The role requires rigorous adherence to company processes, including accurate paperwork, systems entries, and invoicing tasks. Additionally, technicians contribute to revenue growth by implementing effective up-selling techniques.

Working in hotel or convention center environments, the role may involve exposure to varying noise levels, outdoor elements like dust or sand, and the physical demands of operating high-end AV equipment often requiring lifting, carrying, and working at heights on lifts or ladders. The position involves irregular working hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties, reflecting the dynamic nature of event production.

This role is suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, customer-oriented technical environments and are committed to delivering world-class service with integrity and safety consciousness. The position requires a valid driver's license for potential vehicle operation and mandates the successful completion of all required training and certifications within specified timelines. Encore Global values teamwork, effective communication, and professionalism, ensuring its Technicians are equipped to not only meet but exceed the high standards expected by both clients and the company.
