The Technical Specialist role at Encore is a critical position responsible for the technical setup and operation of advanced mid-level production events within a hospitality environment such as hotels and convention centers. Reporting to an Associate Director or Director of Project Management, the Technical Specialist plays a vital part in event success by managing equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and breakdown while adhering to all company safety and security standards.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of event technology experience
- Completion of required training and certifications within 60 days of start date for external applicants
- Compliance with Encore’s Global Learning Training Program for internal applicants
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license if operating company vehicles
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role including sitting, standing, walking, stooping, crawling, kneeling, bending, reaching, climbing, and grasping
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 3+ years of event technology experience specializing in audio, lighting, projection, or video
- 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse workforces and senior management
- Strong customer, client, and coworker interface skills
- Valid driver’s license if operating company vehicles
Job Duties
- Ensures accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of advanced audiovisual equipment
- Troubleshoots technical issues and resolves problems quickly
- Complies with all company security and safety measures
- Provides excellent service to internal and external customers
- Maintains positive client relationships through effective communication
- Collaborates with internal teams on event solutions pre-event and during event
- Supervises and directs other technicians during events
